What you’ll need

  • 70 g ripe peeled banana
  • 5 g plain food-grade roasted carob powder
  • 160 ml cold oat drink
  • 40 g ice, for serving

Make it at home

  1. 01

Slice the peeled banana and check carob is plain powder rather than a sweetened drink mix.

  2. 02

Blend all measured ingredients except serving ice, following the blender’s minimum-liquid, loading and capacity instructions. Use only these cold ingredients.

  3. 03

Put ice in a 450 ml glass and pour in the blended mixture, leaving room for stirring.

  4. 04

Stir and serve immediately. Return unused perishables to refrigeration.

A FEW USEFUL DETAILS

Before your
next pour.

Carob particles can settle; stir during serving rather than assuming complete dissolution.

Serving & storage

Assemble and serve promptly. Keep milk, yogurt, cut melon, cooked grains/purees and any other ingredients requiring refrigeration covered at 4°C/40°F or below, following their labels. For these temperature-controlled foods, discard after more than 2 hours out of refrigeration, or 1 hour when ambient temperature exceeds 32°C/90°F. No finished-drink storage life is established here.

What should I keep in mind?

Carob particles can settle; stir during serving rather than assuming complete dissolution.

Can I prepare this ahead?

Keep appropriate components separately refrigerated and assemble close to serving; this formulation does not establish a finished-drink shelf life.

Original editorial guidance and recipe formulations, not independently kitchen-tested. Times are estimates and depend on equipment and product directions. Cooked bases need additional cooling and refrigeration before cold serving. Images are AI-generated illustrations; appearance and yield may vary.
